Si-Si Nan Cun
In November 1948, as the civil war between Kuomintang and Communist Party intensified, the 44th Arsenal of Combined Logistics Command which had originally moved to Qingdao City, Shandong, was moved to Taiwan. That’s why named it “Si-Si Nan Cun (Four Four South Village)”. Now it become a historic buildings which across from the Taipei 101.
Taipei 101
Taipei 101 comprises 101 floors above ground, as well as 5 basement levels. It was not only the first building in the world to break the half-kilometer mark in height, but also the world's tallest building from March 2004 to 10 March 2010. As of 28 July 2011, it is still the world's largest and highest-use green building and is ranked in the world's ninth tallest building. |
