17th Asia-Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy Annual Congress in Conjunction with 2016 Taiwan Association for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Annual Meeting

4-6 Nov 2016, Taipei

Course Description

For hysteroscopy the trend goes to slimmer instruments, easier to use and painless for patient.

Over the years various systems have been developed for diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy to provide the maximum conveniences for both patient and physicians.

Resection is still considered the gold standard but it comes also with a few problems and challenge like fluid overload, lack of visualization or uterine perforation that need to be mastered by training and experience.

Therefore, the Intrauterine BIGATTI Shaver (IBS) was developed which is an alternative approach to the conventional resection. The IBS-System is not only faster and easier to use for removal of polyps and myomas is no need for HF-surgery and can be also used for office environment.

For infertility patients and nullparous women as well as postmenopausal patients TROHPYscope CAMPO was developed which provides the maximum convenience for both patient and physicians in diagnostic hysteroscopy.

This course combines theoretical and practical part. Delegates are learning from the experts and have the chance to use the systems during hands-on training.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, delegates should be able to:
  • Understand the difference between bipolar resection and IBS-Shaver
  • Set-up of IBS-Shaver and removing polyps
